Title: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: IowaSkirtGirl on December 08, 2011, 09:52:59 PM
Okay this is pretty simple and I didn't see it anywhere...I didn't look that deep either, so if there is one out there, sorry :) But here's how it works. I will start with a question, it can be simple or kinda complicated or even in depth, the next person to post answers the question with a real answer, it's a kinda half way serious getting to know each other game...It will at least be fun for me and a few others who don't really know EVERYONE as well as some of you seem to...

So the first question is...

What is your favorite color and how many shirts do you have that color?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: Scott on December 09, 2011, 12:00:58 AM
Blue is my favorite color and I own one dress shirt that is blue, one jersey shirt and one golf shirt that is blue.

Most of my dress shirts are Red or White and most of my casual shirts are black (I play in a band and Black is the concert uniform).

Purple, lavender specifically.

I have 8 shirts & a wool suit type outfit.

Isn't the person who answers the question supposed to post another question?  Or is that another thread?  Or do we run on this question until all answers are in, then switch to another question?

At any rate... I have no favorite color, but I am partial to darker dress shirts as they show up my ties better.  Now my ties I like, especially my Snoopy tie and my blue tie with a saxophone on it.

Yep..I forgot to add that...sorry...I was just excited I thought of something I didn't see...

So it goes

post 1 - question

post 2 - answer post 1 question 2

post 3 - answer question 2 and ask a new one :)

You gets it :) I know you do...so here's the new question...

Do you have a nativity in your house somewhere?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: Scott on December 09, 2011, 11:42:28 PM
No Nativity...

Are you a God Fearing Heaven bound Christian or do you have a Christmas tree?

:laughhard: :laughhard: :laughhard: :laughhard: :laughhard: :laughhard:

*cough*

How do you decorate your house for Christmas?  We usually put up a medium fake tree and some decorations. We don't go all out, we put the tree up a day or 2 before Christmas.

Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: Lynx on December 10, 2011, 08:37:03 AM
We have one of those trees that come in three sections, open like an umbrella and have the lights already strung on the branches.

L.A.Z.Y.

But I never did really care one way or the other about the tree anyway - don't like it, don't hate it - so lazy suits me fine for that.

What is the gift you are getting someone that you are most excited about and can't wait to see his face when he opens it?

I actually haven't really bought any presents yet. We are a little bit more of a home baked homemade kinda family.

What are you favorite toppings on a burger?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: Lynx on December 10, 2011, 08:10:05 PM
Home grown tomato.  And lots of it.  I like a little burger on my tomato sandwich.

What is your favorite song?
Okay that's not fair, as I cannot pick one of those myself.  I have more than 4,200 so I can't even pick a top ten.

What is your favorite singer/group?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: IowaSkirtGirl on December 12, 2011, 01:07:52 AM
Flyleaf.

That's a hard question...I really love music, and a lot of different kinds....The type really really really really depends on my mood, what mood I want to be in, or what's going on that day...

If you had one super power what would it be and why?

Teleportation.  I want to be there now.  I like going places, I just hate all the time it takes to get there.

What is your favorite brand of chocolate?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: Scott on December 12, 2011, 05:56:10 AM
Dark chocolate is the best. Cannot stand milk chocolate; it is too sweet.

Due you like Coke or Pepsi better?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: Lynx on December 12, 2011, 06:13:32 AM
Oh man, I just used that tonight in Children's Church.  "Can't beat the real thing."  Israelites making a golden calf, Hezekiah versus a guy who had beaten a lot of other countries who's gods couldn't protect them, etc.  That sufficed for God versus all the other religions, anti-religions and things that take the place of God.  I used coke classic vs new coke to lead into real by-the-bible christians vs easy-believism christianity.

And if I had to drink some kind of soft drink (probably for the caffeine, and only in an emergency... yuck!) I'd go with coke.  Slightly less vile than pepsi.

And Scott, I specified what BRAND of chocolate.  I concur with dark being better than milk, but any favorite brand?

If money were plentiful, what kind of computer would you buy?

I really don't know because I'm pretty computer stupid.

Would you wear a clown hat at your wedding?

I didnt.  But I did use breath freshener before I kissed my wife...lol  Pulled out some spray, sprayed it in front of everyone, everyone started laughing, and then I kissed her.

Do you play guitar?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: Lynx on January 04, 2012, 04:18:34 PM
I can play a pretty good RealGuitar 2.  It's a virtual guitar you load in your computer and play on the keyboard.  Sounds pretty good, according to my uncle who actually plays a real guitar.  :D

Ham or turkey?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: mini on January 04, 2012, 04:21:24 PM
Oh...I really go for both, if we are talking deli meat.  If you are talking about a actual ham, or a actual turkey, I like to nibble on the ham, but would prefer turkey.

How do you wear your hair?  (is that the right way to ask?  Im beginning to think that english is not my first, second or third language.)

Ham.

If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would it be?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: Lynx on January 04, 2012, 04:27:08 PM
Alaska.  On a small boat cruise.   The kind that can go up and down the waterways, dock at the piers, while all the big cruise ships have to stand off and send launches in.

If you could have any ability that you don't currently have, what would it be?  (No super hero powers, real life abilities.)

I would like to RUN. Run without fear of falling, or getting winded like my chest is gonna explode.

Would you rather be hot or cold?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: Tricia Lea on January 04, 2012, 09:28:34 PM
I say cold. You can always add clothes but you can only take off so much without getting arrested. :)

Would you rather live in the middle of a big city or out in the boondocks?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: Scott on January 04, 2012, 11:47:55 PM
In the boondocks not far from the city.

How do you handle public displays of affection?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: IowaSkirtGirl on January 04, 2012, 11:51:07 PM
Mine or Others?

I think it's cute to see a couple holding hands...or a lil peck on the cheek...but the people that need to "get a room" really bother me.

Real butter or margarine?

Butter all the way!

Walking...Hiking is even better!

TV or no tv?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: Lynx on January 05, 2012, 06:15:28 AM
Who has time for TV?  My own life is far more interesting than anything from a script writer's imagination.

CDs or old vinyl records?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: IowaSkirtGirl on January 05, 2012, 12:01:56 PM
I have both, but I normally am listening to some sort of MP3...or digital copy.

If you could save one person tomorrow, and have them really believe...who would it be and why?

What are two things that agitate you?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: Lynx on January 14, 2012, 06:13:40 AM
Lying to me and stealing from me.  On a side note, when I get really mad I usually get really quiet and really focused, and once I have decided on a course of action I will almost plow through solid rock.  Also on a side note, when you get mad enough you really do see red.  I always thought that was just an expression...

What do you do when you have nothing to do?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: RainbowJingles on January 14, 2012, 07:51:44 AM
That's crazy!  If you DO something when you "have nothing to do," then you're DOING something...  thus, you DO have something to do!  :-)

But to answer that question...  sometimes my other answer may be, "post on Godplace."  lol

What is the weirdest habit you have?

p.s. Heather: Yes, I WOULD wear a clown hat at my wedding.  :bigcheese:

QuoteWhat is the weirdest habit you have?

What I call habits, some people call OCD's! But I have two that people think are weird, but I think make sense.....

I always keep a baseball cap in my top drawer - it is always upside down and my wallet, keys, knife, mints, loose change, business cards and a clean hankie are kept in there. I've done that since I was maybe 10 or 12 years old.  I think I got in that habit watching my mom frantically searching for her things every day as she lost them - my dad wasn't as bad, but he'd some times have to dig through his top drawer looking for things. A baseball cap goes with me when I travel and when I enter a motel at night... everything goes in that hat.. including cell phone, blue tooth, room key and my wife's keys if she is with me.

Another habit some people find weird... in my briefcase, I always keep a couple of unread magazines and a radio or MP3 player/ IPOD. I've been stranded before waiting on a ride with nothing to read or nothing to listen to. That started when the person who was supposed to pick me up from work one day, was 65 miles away and lost track of time playing Ms. Pac-man at a pizza joint while eating lunch with a family member. I waited 2 1/2 hours in a parking lot, no cell phone, no pay phone, nothing to read, and nothing to listen to. I was bored!  Now if that were to happen, I'd have something to keep me occupied.

If a male answers:  Do you prefer spy movies or cowboy movies?

If a gal answers:  Chick flicks or dramas?

Now THAT's a tough decision.  Today I'd lean toward Joseph, the husband of Mary, the mother of Jesus.  I'd like to ask him what it was like to be a stepdad to Jesus.

A-1 or barbecue sauce?
Title: Re: The "Truth" Game.
Post by: mini on September 26, 2012, 02:10:40 PM
BBQ Sauce.  Head Country BBQ sauce (made here in Okieland).  But I only use it on BBQ.  My thought on any sauce for steak is "If it needs sauce, the steak aint fit to eat."

Whats one thing you are afraid of doing and why?  (besides dying, something like "im afraid to parachute out of a plane")

Sipper, of all the people and all the answers, that was not the one I was expecting.  :sadbounce:

My favorite shoes?  A pair of well worn cowboy boots, slick leather on bottom, square toe and down at the heel, scuffed up in all the right spots, and easy to slip on and off.  Of which I have none right now....

Android or Apple?

Elona - I'm working on that. *HUGS*

Historical story... hosting a "safe house" on the underground railroad. Yup. I'm a Yankee. Either that, or a Clara Barton type figure. Because, after all, good girls don't make history.

Fantasy or sci-fi book?

Can I say both?  Anne McCaffrey's dragonrider series features flying, flaming dragons, but they have a solid science (fiction) basis.

Do you kill wasps/hornets/bees if they are inside, or trap them and let them out?  And are you afraid of them, or can you walk through the room without a care when they are buzzing around?

Roscoe:  Does it have to be RT66?  Can you drop that number down a couple to highway 64?  That would bring you close enough to intercept.
